Lakeshore Food Club (LFC) is teaming up once again with the Chamber Alliance of Mason County this July to provide fresh fish to residents in need. During last year’s annual Ludington Offshore Classic, they collected over 2,500 pounds of fish for LFC. A large portion was sold fresh at the club, while generous donations from tournament participants also helped build a frozen reserve that kept the club stocked throughout the winter, ensuring continued access to healthy, locally sourced food even in the colder months.

Lakeshore Food Club staff and volunteers have become quite proficient in all things fish: weighing, filleting, cleaning, chopping, and bagging before loading the fish into coolers for transport to the club.
This week-long signature event for Pure Ludington is the largest freshwater salmon tournament in the U.S., consistently attracting over 900 participants. The Great Lakes sport fishing tournament features contests for amateurs, professionals, women, and youth.
The 2025 tournament will take place July 14–20 at Waterfront Park in the City of Ludington.
